Lead Infrastructure Engineer focused on mainframe security within a large financial institution. Responsible for designing, configuring, and managing mainframe security products (ACF2, RACF) across a sysplex environment, securing system resources and data, and managing certificates. Works with cross-functional teams to architect and implement infrastructure changes, troubleshoot issues, and modernize processes. Requires strong z/OS tooling and mainframe language experience and participation in an agile delivery team.

As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms Mainframe, you apply deep knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Continue to evolve your technical and cross-functional knowledge outside of your aligned domain of expertise.

Job responsibilities

  • Applies technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope
  • Drives a workstream or project consisting of one or more infrastructure engineering technologies
  • Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
  • Executes creative solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity

Strongly considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications and advises on mitigation actions

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on Security infrastructure engineering concepts and 5 to 10 years applied experience
  • Experience in configuring and managing the mainframe security products across a large sysplex mainframe environment primarily utilizing ACF2 and RACF
  • Design and manage controls to secure and monitor mainframe system resources and data
    Assisting Managing mainframe security certificates
  • Advanced knowledge of Broadcom ACF2 and RACF
  • Experience with core z/OS utilities, functions, and languages – TSO, ISPF, JES, SDSF, etc
  • Experience with at least one common Mainframe language – JCL, CARLa, REXX, CLISTs, SAS, etc
  • Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience with IBM zSecure
  • Experience with PKI and implementation/support of X509 digital certificates
  • Experience with Broadcom Trusted Access Manager for z (TAMz)

  • Previous experience working in financial services industry
  • RACF and ACF2 Expertise 
Serve as a member of an agile team to design and deliver infrastructure engineering solutions
