Lead the security of distributed ledger technologies and blockchain-based applications, combining hands-on research with real-world impact. You will proactively identify threats across blockchain networks, conduct threat intelligence, attack surface mapping, and exploit simulations for ecosystems such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Solana. Design and demonstrate security proofs of concept and mitigations, and collaborate with cryptographers to plan for post-quantum readiness. You will shape our security strategy and influence secure deployment practices, product launches, and security-by-design principles across engineering, DevOps, and platform infrastructure.

Location: LONDON, United Kingdom

Join us to shape the future of digital asset security as you blend hands-on research with real-world impact. You’ll collaborate with leading cryptographers and threat intelligence experts, working at the intersection of blockchain and cybersecurity. Here, your expertise will help us stay ahead of adversaries and emerging threats. We offer an environment where your ideas drive innovation and your work directly influences the safety of our digital ecosystem. Be part of a team that values your curiosity, creativity, and drive to make a difference.

As a Principal Cybersecurity Architect - Blockchain Security Specialist at JPMorganChase in the Digital Asset Security Working Group, you will lead efforts to secure distributed ledger technologies and application-layer protocols. You will proactively identify and address risks, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and validate security solutions. Your role bridges traditional cybersecurity with emerging blockchain paradigms, including preparing for quantum-era threats. You will help shape our security strategy and contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration. Your work will have a direct impact on the safety and resilience of our digital asset platforms.

Job responsibilities:

  • Proactively hunt for threats across blockchain networks, smart contract ecosystems, and infrastructure components.
  • Perform ongoing threat intelligence, attack surface mapping, and exploit simulation on platforms such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Solana.
  • Design and execute proof-of-concepts and demonstrations for discovered vulnerabilities and proposed mitigations.
  • Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in smart contracts, wallets, bridges, and node infrastructure.
  • Conduct security assessments and code reviews across Solidity, Rust, and off-chain components.
  • Partner with engineering and DevOps to secure CI/CD pipelines, API gateways, and validator nodes.
  • Collaborate with cryptographers to evaluate readiness for post-quantum cryptography transitions.
  • Advise on secure deployment patterns, product launches, and security-by-design principles.
  • Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Strong understanding of Ethereum, Solana, and Bitcoin ecosystems, including execution, consensus, and infrastructure.
  • Proven experience in smart contract auditing with Solidity, Rust, and the Anchor framework.
  • Hands-on expertise in vulnerability research, exploit development, or proof-of-concept prototyping.
  • Familiarity with threat hunting, attack simulation, and adversary emulation in blockchain environments.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including cryptographers and threat intelligence experts.
  • Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Familiarity with MEV threats, bridge exploits, flash loan attacks, and cross-chain vulnerabilities.
  • Experience with security tooling such as Mythril, Slither, Echidna, Foundry, and Halmos.
  • Knowledge of zk-SNARKs, zk-STARKs, MPC, and threshold cryptography.
