You’ll actively triage and respond to advanced cyber threats targeting Macquarie’s global infrastructure, analyse attack trends to define proactive defensive measures, and lead security incident response with cross-team collaboration. The role requires mentoring SOC analysts and coordinating on-call rotations while communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Sydney.

- 5 - 8 years of security or technology experience in large enterprise environments, including leading and developing teams
- Strong skills in aggregate log analysis using Splunk or other SIEM platforms
- Lead and coordinate security incident response with cross‑team collaboration for effective remediation
- Mentor and guide SOC analysts, promoting a collaborative and growth‑focused team culture
- Communicate security findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Apply an offensive security mindset with solid understanding of threat actor TTPs
- Interest in emerging, forward‑looking technologies, including AI‑enabled SOC capabilities
- Lead business engagement with a digital native banking organisation
- Participate and represent SOC function in Crisis management simulation activities and tabletop exercises.
