Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Leverages deep security knowledge and experience to achieve highly critical engineering business objectives.
- Develops new hardware and software security features and updates existing products; ensures the security of all products is maintained throughout the product lifecycle.
- Serves as a technical expert performing advanced security assessments and evaluations of company products, including vulnerability and risk assessments and threat analysis, to identify potential design and implementation vulnerabilities.
- Develops highly critical security architectures and solutions for products and subsystems and leads cross-organizational teams to adopt and implement them.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Security Engineering or related work experience.OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Security Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Security Engineering or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 6+ years of Security Engineering experience or related work experience.
- 3+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, System Verilog, etc.
Level of Responsibility:
- Makes significant decisions that affect work beyond the immediate team.
- Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information; may require negotiation, influence, tact, etc.
- Influences product architecture and features.
- Performs tasks that often require multiple steps that can be completed in various orders; extensive planning, problem-solving, and prioritization are required to complete tasks effectively.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$149,600.00 - $224,400.00The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.
