Lead the Security Engineering function to define strategy, scale core security capabilities, and deliver global programmes that enable secure, reliable operations across the firm. You will build and manage teams across identity, endpoint, data, infrastructure, vulnerability and physical security, embedding security into the software and platform delivery lifecycle. The role partners with Engineering, Infrastructure, Risk, Compliance and business stakeholders to translate risk into practical controls, run large multi-region programmes, and manage vendor relationships. Metrics-driven delivery, automation, and continuous improvement are key priorities.

You will join the global Security function, which is responsible for safeguarding QRT’s technology platforms, data, and operational environments. The team partners closely with Engineering, Infrastructure, Risk, Compliance, and business stakeholders to design and implement security controls, reduce risk, and enable safe, high-performance operations across global offices.

Strategy & Leadership

Define and maintain the multi-year Security Engineering strategy aligned to business needs and risk appetite.

Build and scale capabilities across identity, endpoint, data, infrastructure, vulnerability and physical security.

Hire, develop, and lead managers and engineers, establishing clear operating models and ways of working.

Promote engineering excellence through automation, measurable controls, and continuous improvement.
Engineering & Operations
-
Embed security within QRT’s software and platform delivery lifecycle using automation and policy-as-code.

Oversee identity foundations including authentication, access governance, and privileged access.

Lead endpoint and server security posture, ensuring hardened baselines, configuration compliance and timely patching.

Drive data security controls, including classification, encryption, safe-handling patterns and DLP across user and data environments.

Maintain oversight of physical security standards in partnership with relevant operational teams.

Translate high-level security standards into practical, effective controls that integrate with engineering workflows.
Programme Delivery & Stakeholder Management

Deliver global, multi-team security programmes with clear milestones and measurable outcomes.

Partner with senior stakeholders across Engineering, Infrastructure, Research, Trading, Compliance and Risk, aligning security objectives with business priorities.

Govern implementation of security initiatives and contribute to design reviews for major technical changes.

Manage vendor relationships, evaluate build-vs-buy decisions and ensure value from third-party solutions.
Your Present Skillset

10+ years of experience in security, including 5+ years leading managers or multi-disciplinary teams.

Experience building and scaling security functions across regions with structured operating models and hiring plans.

Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate risk into clear business-aligned outcomes.

Demonstrated delivery of large-scale, multi-region programmes with strong governance and vendor management.

Broad proficiency across identity, endpoint, data, infrastructure, vulnerability and physical security domains.

Metrics-driven approach to security operations, with experience defining and tracking control effectiveness.

Clear written and verbal communication, adaptable for audiences ranging from engineers to executives.
Base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $240,000 per year.
QRT Total Compensation includes discretionary performance-based bonuses and a competitive benefits package.
