Job Description:

What’s the role

A Process Control Domain (PCD) Systems engineer being part of the ITSO organization is required to be a deep technical expert in the support, configuration and periodic change/patching of Process Control Systems and their integration into the overall local network (called the Process Control Domain). They have mastery of skills in the configuration and maintenance of security controls that safeguard the process control layer. The analyst should also be knowledgeable in the following concepts:  IT Service Management and Integration Support, On-premise and Cloud Hosting, Business Change Management, Continuous Improvement, IT Architecture Information Risk Management and Assurance, and Collaboration Tools.

What you’ll be doing

  • Patching Windows and ESXi servers at a regular frequency to ensure hardware & virtual environments are kept complaint
  • Administer McAfee, Symantec Endpoint & WSUS consoles
  • Administer the server inventory and ensure that it accurately reflects the current scope and maintain the consistency in ServiceNow CMDB device information
  • Have worked on any backup technologies - preferably Veeam
  • Handle, review and manage the incident(s), problem(s), Service Request(s) as needed to ensure they are correctly prioritized, scheduled and resolved as per stipulated SLA's
  • Preparing and maintaining SOP(s), Knowledge base, documentation of technologies, standards, and procedures
  • Gather information and facilitate the decision-making process of granting approval for immediate change requests to systems with input from the appropriate teams, understanding the potential impact to production systems prior to approval
  • Ability to operate in a global, virtual cross-cultural organization, working in different time zones
  • Be able to work under pressure. Deliver solutions fast, but to quality standards and in a compliant way
  • Ability to handle concurrent tasks with appropriate priority

What you bring

Mandatory

  • Bachelor’s in Information Technology or related degree with minimum 3 years overall work experience
  • Network, Backup and Restore, Storage experience
  • Prior experience in an IT support environment supporting business infrastructure
  • Hands-on experience in VMware Virtualization and Windows Server environments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-starter with good analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes, incident, problem and change management

Nice to have

  • Microsoft Certifications: MSCA / MSCE
  • VMware Certifications: VCAP
