Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer. The role involves leading or participating in computer security incident response for moderately complex events, performing technical investigations and post-incident forensics, and providing security consultation on medium-sized projects. You will design, test, maintain and implement security solutions across networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication, directory services, email, applications, and endpoints, as well as review and correlate security logs and assess vulnerabilities and risks. You will collaborate with peers and managers to resolve issues and advance risk management, incident response, and security excellence.

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in computer security incident response activities for moderately complex events
  • Conduct technical investigation of security related incidents and post incident digital forensics to identify causes and recommend future mitigation strategies
  • Provide security consulting on medium projects for internal clients to ensure conformity with corporate information, security policy, and standards
  • Design, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for moderately complex security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security
  • Review and correlate security logs
  • Utilize subject matter knowledge in industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity
  • Identify security vulnerabilities and issues, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years .NET development experience working on large, complex code bases

  • 3+ years ASP.NET development experience (specifically MVC Controllers/Views)

  • 3+ years Web Development Experience (HTML/CSS/Javascript/HTTP)

  • 3+ years SQL experience (complex queries, stored procedures)

  • 1+ years working with RESTful APIs

  • good understanding of SOLID design principles

  • experience integrating applications with architectural components (ex: message queue, distributed cache, etc)

  • excellent troubleshooting skills

  • excellent written and oral communication skills (understanding business needs, capturing requirements, documenting code, communicating with leadership, explaining technical concepts to other developers)

Job Expectations:

  • 1+ year working in the Wells Fargo development environment (Jenkins, UCD, Harness, ServiceNow Changes, SDLC Secure Coding)

  • 1+ years OpenShift (OCP) experience

  • 1+ years Kubernetes experience

  • good understanding of Clean Architecture principles

  • exposure to 12 Factor principles for cloud-based systems

  • experience with test driven development

  • experience writing Playwright UI tests

  • 1+ years Blazor experience

  • 1+ years software development in an information security environment

  • 1+ years working in a team lead capacity (mentoring)

  • 1+ years architectural design experience

  • Experience with CyberArk APIs and/or Enterprise Password Vault.
