Support process improvement for airside and terminal operations by coordinating with operational units, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending enhancements. Collect and analyze aviation data (flight schedules, gate activity, throughput, staffing, baggage handling, equipment usage) and develop gated flight schedules and baseline gate/counter assignments. Lead and review studies to improve operational efficiency, increase airport capacity, and reduce delays, including simulation and modeling with CAST Gate/Stand Allocation and Simio. Work location combines remote, client-site, and Accenture offices as needed.
THE WORK:
- You'll support process improvement by coordinating with operational units, identifying inefficiencies across airside and terminal components, and recommending enhancements.
- You'll collect and analyze aviation operational data, including flight schedules, airfield and gate activity, TSA and CBP throughput, staffing, baggage handling, equipment usage, and space occupancy.
- You'll develop gated flight schedules for upcoming seasons.
- You'll create baseline gate and counter assignments for common-use facilities.
- You'll prepare, review, and lead studies focused on improving operational efficiency, increasing airport capacity, and reducing delays.
- You'll evaluate operational impacts from construction, policy, safety, or technical changes affecting airport operations.
- You'll perform simulation and modeling analyses using tools such as CAST Gate/Stand Allocation and Simio.
- You'll conduct gate utilization and passenger queueing analyses to optimize processing performance.
- You'll review modeling and simulation work from other entities, assessing methodologies, assumptions, parameters, and data sources.
- You'll conduct field observations to gather operational data and validate analytical findings.
- You'll review massing, stacking, conceptual layouts, and preliminary designs from an operational and functional perspective.
- You'll provide recommendations and conceptual sketches to improve space utilization in terminals and airside areas.
- You'll coordinate with commercial, operations, maintenance, and other stakeholders and develop reports and presentations for airport management.
- Flexible: The work location for this role will include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office or center.
