Join Allianz Bulgaria as a Data Engineer / Reporting Analyst, helping migrate from MS Excel to Power BI, and supporting the development and maintenance of regular reports. You will work with large data sets, developing, testing and implementing ETL models, and assist with data reconciliation, automated checks, and documentation. The role involves process design, cross-functional collaboration with local, regional, and global teams, and a focus on data automation and improving reporting efficiency. Fluency in English and a proactive, analytical mindset are important, with a background in finance/insurance/data or a related quantitative field.

Description

What you do

  • Take a key role in migration from MS Excel to PowerBI; Provide support in regular reporting development and maintenance; Take part in process design and analysis.
  • Operate with large data sets. Contribute to development, testing and implementation of various data-processing and ETL-models.
  • Support data reconciliation, automated process debugging and quality monitoring. Support the development and maintenance of automated cross-checks
  • Support regular documentation, assist specifications with end users etc.
  • Collaborate with the local departments, as well as regional and global structures.


What you bring

  • Strong interest in large datasets and technical-related fields is a must.
  • Excellent technical literacy and computer skills: Experience with Power BI / Excel / VBA; Oracle PL/SQL; ETL; Python; R is considered a strong advantage.
  • Experience in a data-position (analysis / reporting / engineering / debug).
  • Graduate in: Finance / Insurance / Data / Math / Statistics or other quantitative or data-related field.
  • Proactive engagement and positive attitude. Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Willingness to develop in data and automation: If you’re eager to find the optimal solutions and to optimize tasks, this is the right place for you.
  • Good analytical thinking and understanding of automation concepts like logic- and cyclic-structures. Demonstrated numeric- and problem-solving skills. Your ability to present data understandably and to observe interdependence is key.
  • Patience and attention to detail: working with large datasets demands precision and consistency.
  • Interest in working in a diverse environment with international exposure. Eagerness to learn and ability to perform tasks independently
