Strategic Analytics Lead, Digital at Vanguard will partner with the Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) and digital product teams to analyze and optimize Vanguard's digital channels and tools. They will translate business strategies into analytical projects, develop dashboards and visualizations, and deliver actionable insights to inform digital strategy and decision-making. The role includes managing recurring data requests, supporting experiments (e.g., A/B tests), and communicating findings to non-technical stakeholders. This position requires strong SQL and Tableau skills, experience with Adobe Analytics, and the ability to work across internal teams to drive data-driven improvements.

As a Strategic Analytics Lead, Digital, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how data and analytics drive Vanguard’s digital strategy. Partnering with the Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) and digital product teams, you will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing Vanguard’s digital channels and tools. Your work will inform strategic decisions, anticipate client and business needs, and ensure the delivery of the right digital experiences at the right time.

Details

  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand business strategies, needs, and challenges.
  • Leverage data from multiple platforms and sources to develop actionable insights and recommendations that improve internal processes and reporting.
  • Assist in synthesizing internal engagement data to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Serve as a data and reporting resource on cross-functional teams for internal initiatives.
  • Manage recurring analytical requests and reporting processes, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery.

Core Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into analytical projects and support them to completion.
  • Analyze internal data sets to identify trends, friction points, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Acquire, compile, and verify the quality of structured and unstructured data from various internal platforms.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver dashboards, visualizations, and presentations that translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Assist in designing, executing, and interpreting basic experiments (e.g., A/B tests) to validate hypotheses and optimize internal processes.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations effectively, using clear data visualization and storytelling techniques.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data analytics and visualization.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of relevant work experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in SQL and Tableau.
  • Familiarity with Python and AWS/Redshift environments preferred.
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics is required.
  • Basic understanding of experimentation concepts and ability to assist in test design and interpretation.
  • Ability to bring together data from multiple platforms and perform analysis to support internal decision-making.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Stakeholder management experience helpful but not essential.
  • Financial services experience is a plus.
