Amazon's GRAM-T Tech is seeking a Business Intel Engineer to partner with customers to build and maintain data tools, extract and consolidate data, perform analyses, and provide actionable insights. The role involves analyzing complex business problems, documenting requirements into functional specs, and creating dashboards to track key metrics, while collaborating across product, operations, and technical teams. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience with SQL and data warehousing (Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL), data visualization (Tableau/Quicksight), ETL development, and statistical tools (R, SAS, Matlab) with Python scripting. AWS experience and experience working with large-scale datasets are a plus.
GRAM-T is looking for a Business Intel Engineer to partner with our customers to build and maintain tools, extract and consolidate data, conduct analysis, and provide insights. The successful candidate will be a customer-obsessed self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and with an ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment and work effectively with cross-functional and global teams.
Key job responsibilities
- Analyze complex business problems and develop data-driven solutions
- Document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications
- Create and maintain dashboards and reporting systems to track key business metrics
- Support the evaluation and implementation of new tools and processes
- Partner with product, operations, and technical teams to identify process improvements and optimization opportunities
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
