Data Collection Associates follow established data collection protocols to guide responses in research tasks. They work with program coordinators and data collection leads to support project objectives while moderating sessions and assisting participants. The role involves fieldwork, day-to-day operations, troubleshooting technical issues, and delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines. It is not a work-from-home role and may require travel to multiple sites within 50 miles and lifting up to 30 lbs.

Data Collection Associates will follow clear instructions and apply the best responses to multiple choice situations. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal skills. They should be able to perform data collected related tasks and procedures in assigned areas with guidance from Data Collection Specialists and Leads.

Key job responsibilities
Key job responsibilities
* Partner closely with Program Coordinators/Data Collection Leads/Data Collection Specialists by adhering to data collection protocol and follow SOP to complete project objectives
* Work one-on-one with research participants by moderating and assisting them through the research process to ensure research objectives are met
* Support day-to-day operations of collection projects including reporting, moderating, etc
* Own defined tasks within projects focused on improving parts of the data collection processes
* Deliver high quality work under tight deadlines
* Communicate internally with team members to identify issues and propose solutions for long term sustainability of processes
* Support several projects at one time and accept re-prioritization as required
* Perform basic troubleshooting tasks on any technical issues during collection and escalate as needed
* Work indoor/outdoor 4-5 days per week in the field, traveling to multiple sites within 50 miles (this is not a work from home role)
* Lift up to 30lbs when needed

Basic Qualifications

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications
- A good sense of humor, a positive attitude and great team work skills
- Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in research or data collection
- Experience using Confluence, Quip, Jira, Salesforce
- End-to-end, hands-on experience with aspects of data collections (recruiting, moderation, reporting)
- Experience moderating a 1:1 session with users independently in the field
- Experience moderating sessions with users of different age and demographics is a big plus
- Consumer electronic research experience
