Amazon’s Transportation EDI team aims to automate all transactions with its global partners. The EDI Engineer will maintain the EDI specifications, support mapping and partner configurations, and drive new implementation development and data quality improvements. The role includes operational support, cross-functional collaboration across technical and business teams, and rotating on-call duties in a 24/7 production environment. Strong problem solving, communication, and leadership are required to coordinate efforts across time zones worldwide.
To be successful, this candidate requires mastery of proven problem solving, communication and leadership skills. The ability to coordinate efforts across multiple teams (collaborating with both technical and business) is key to this position. You will be able to manage communication and navigate time zones in a 24/7 production environment across an international team. You will be able to participate in rotating on-call duties and operational defect management for high volume EDI and API traffic.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of systems development experience- 2+ years of professional work experience
- Experience with some of the common integration standards and protocols – AS2, SFTP, HTTPS, API/OAuth, etc.
- Experience with at least one EDI mapping software implementation such as Gentran, Sterling, Contivo, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with EDIFACT standards, ideally including documents such as IFTMIN, INVOIC, IFTSTA or other logistics/supply chain documents- Experience with ANSI X12 standards, ideally including documents such as 215, 210, 214 or other logistics/supply chain documents
