The role focuses on construction and commissioning to reduce rework and delays, with expansion into post-completion support, and uses standardized metrics and KPIs to benchmark quality across regions. This position ensures quality, safety, and performance from design through operations handoff, driving systematic quality improvements at scale.

Application deadline: Mar 2, 2026

The Global Quality Tech Manager plays an essential role in AWS Data Center Capacity Delivery's (DCCD) Global Build Quality (GBQ) Program. This position is responsible for overseeing quality assurance and control (QAQC) processes through governance and programmatic control throughout the lifecycle of data center design, development, construction and retrofit, ensuring that all work meets AWS's high standards for quality, safety, and performance.
As part of the GBQ Program, this role supports the drive toward global standardization, unified measurement frameworks, and systematic quality improvements across the Data Center Capacity Delivery ecosystem. This position provides comprehensive quality oversight and governance from design through operations handoff, with initial focus on construction and commissioning phases and planned expansion through post-completion support periods.

Key job responsibilities

Establish and enforce global quality control plan templates, inspection checklists for manufacturing and on-site work, acceptance criteria, and standardized documentation requirements.
Define global quality metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and benchmark quality performance across all regions and projects.
Create and maintain a global quality management system (QMS) that ensures consistency and compliance across all project phases—from design through operations handoff and post-completion support periods.
Develop standardized design review criteria focused on ease of construction, long-term maintenance, and quality assurance measures applicable to all global projects.
