The Selling Partner Financial Technology team’s vision is to empower every Selling Partner to succeed globally by providing a trusted and seamless financial experience. We enable this through building foundational capabilities for financial events and currently support payouts to millions of active sellers across all Amazon businesses. This role will lead software development initiatives across two teams.

We are looking for a leader who is passionate about building reliable, consistent, and scalable data systems. In this role, you will work on complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions that enhance the Payout and Collections experience for our Selling Partners.


Key job responsibilities
As part of our team, you will design and develop large-scale distributed data systems that support our financial platforms.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand a range of financial requirements and deliver solutions that ensure high data quality and availability. You will also contribute to evaluating and implementing new technologies to improve our financial systems and support team members through knowledge sharing and technical guidance.

Experience with full-stack development, distributed systems, and machine learning will be valuable as you work across various layers of our technology stack to ensure end-to-end data excellence.

Basic Qualifications

- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
