Lead the BI and analytics strategy for EU Prime & Marketing Analytics & Science (PRIMAS) to understand customer segments, affinities and lifetime value. We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer / Data Scientist to help us build a comprehensive understanding of customer segments, affinities and lifetime value for the Marketing and Prime organization in Europe.

Our team uses the latest data science tools and advanced analytical techniques to study customer purchase and engagement behaviors and generate actionable insights on where, when and how we provide products and programs to our customers to meet their needs and to delight them. We help to increase customer engagement, sales and marketing efficiency. Our systems are built entirely in-house and on the cutting-edge in automated large-scale analytics systems. You will generate insights, design/deliver/measure experiments and strategies across marketing channels (SEM/SEO, Affiliates, Display, Social, Mobile, Email, Onsite, etc.), engagement products and customer segments. You will improve our understanding of Customer behavior and engagement, design and conduct rigorous experiments on the effectiveness and efficiency of different marketing actions that will inform long term strategy. You will have the opportunity to work on the forefront of consumer analytics tackling some of the most difficult problems in the industry with some of the best scientists, statisticians and software engineers in the field.


Key job responsibilities
• Working on complex loosely defined analytics problems and defining the team's Business Intelligence (BI) strategy. Delivering independently, and influencing the organization's BI architecture
• Providing analytics solutions for complex business problems. Building analyses/solutions that are robust, extensible and scalable. Communicating effectively with management audiences (e.g., narratives, inputs into Business Reviews). Refining Business Intelligence strategies that cross teams and making technical trade-offs for long term/short-term needs.
• Designing and implementing technical solutions with an appropriate analytics strategy and data set design. Understanding system limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and/or the reasons for technical decisions
• Providing analyses, frameworks and solutions that inform multiple teams' business decisions and highlight new opportunities
• Driving best practices in operational excellence, data modelling, and analysis

Basic Qualifications

- 7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or a related advance analytics and science -focused role
- Expert-level SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, performance optimization, and large-scale query tuning
- Proven experience designing and owning end-to-end analytics solutions
- Strong experience with data modeling and building scalable data warehouses
- Experience building and maintaining production-grade ETL pipelines
- Proficiency in Python (or similar scripting language) for data transformation and advanced analytics
- Deep understanding of statistical analysis and experimental design
- Experience working with large, complex, and ambiguous datasets, translating vague business problems into structured analytical solutions
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior business and technical stakeholders using data-driven insights
- Experience defining metrics, KPIs, and success criteria that align analytics with business and product goals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing high-quality narratives and executive-level documents

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience operating at scale on AWS, including Redshift, S3, DynamoDB, Glue, Athena, EC2, and Quicksight
- Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, EMR, or similar distributed computing frameworks
- Demonstrated experience leading analytics initiatives across multiple teams or organizations
- Proven ability to mentor and raise the bar for junior BIEs, analysts, or data engineers
- Experience partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations to influence roadmap and strategy
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and working alongside data scientists to productionize insights
- Experience building metrics layers or semantic layers to standardize reporting across an organization
