Responsible for forecasting and analysing Arm's compute, FPGA and emulator capacity needs, by maintaining a centralized forecasting system and profiling peak and average resource requirements over time. Works with engineering IT to create and run resource allocations for projects and groups, and partners with engineering management to plan future requirements. Collaborates across Arm to continually improve the engineering resource forecast and allocation processes. Requires strong analytical skills and experience with Excel, Tableau, and data-driven decision making.

Job Overview:

Due to the rapid expansion of Arm’s technical resource’s we are seeking an experienced Engineering capacity planner to help plan and analyse Arm’s requirements for compute, FPGAs and emulators. If you have a passion for helping organisations work smoothly and efficiently by ensuring requirements are met in a timely manner then this is a great opportunity for you to join the capacity planning team in the Productivity Engineering organization within Arm.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling forecast data in a centralised forecasting system.
  • Analysing forecast data to profile peak and average compute resource requirements over time
  • Working with the engineering IT team to create and run resource allocations for projects and groups.
  • Plan future requirements working with engineering management.
  • Collaborate with individuals across Arm to continually improve the engineering resource forecast and allocation process.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Analytics, Operations Management or related field, or meaningful work experience.
  • Strong understanding of engineering workflows is essential
  • Engineering compute, FPGA and emulation capacity planning experience or engineering/technical experience.
  • Proficient using 0365 tools including Excel, SharePoint and Teams
  • Experience using Tableau
  • Proven organizational skills and with strong attention to details
  • Excellent communicator with strong presentation skills to enable networking in a dynamic, global team/organisation.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and know how to multi-task in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Analytical and a problem solver- good with numerical data and results.

  • Ability to translate sophisticated data into clear business insights for technical and non-technical collaborators.
  • Experience improving operational processes or driving cross-team efficiency initiatives.
