Job Description: As a Data Architect for our international markets, you will play a pivotal role in designing and setting up a solid data architecture foundation across our organization, necessary for the implementation of AI and data use cases. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to establish robust data architecture and infrastructure, leveraging cloud computing technologies, and providing coaching and guidance to entities towards the definition and creation of the required data architecture discipline in each country. Great communication skills will be essential as you will be required to coordinate, foster, and energize data initiatives and collaboration with diverse stakeholders across multiple regions, as well as communicate complex data concepts, architectural designs, and implementation strategies. Responsibilities: Collaborate with business and technology leaders to design, validate and implement scalable and efficient data architectural foundations to support the development of AI and data use cases in AXA International Markets Contribute and support with the development of data architecture strategies, including data modeling, storage, integration, and governance, to ensure the availability, usability, integrity, and security of data assets Design and assist the implementation of data quality mechanisms and the creation of Analytics and BI capabilities. These capabilities are essential for deriving meaningful insights and driving data-driven decision-making across our international operations. Promote cloud computing technologies for scalable and secure data storage, processing, and analytics, ensuring the effective utilization of cloud-based resources Support transversal data initiatives and working groups to ensure the achievement of objectives, key milestones and deadlines. Assist entities in each country, supporting the definition and creation of the required data architecture capabilities to drive data-driven decision-making and innovation. Work closely with IT teams to implement data architectures and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Communicate complex data concepts, architectural designs, and implementation strategies to diverse stakeholders through clear visualizations, reports, and presentations. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data management, cloud computing, and AI technology, and identify opportunities to enhance data architecture and infrastructure across diverse international markets. Help to simplify the existing data architecture, delivering reusable services and cost-saving opportunities in line with the policies and standards of the company. Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies for data usage purposes. Job Requirements: Education: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, software engineering, information systems, or related quantitative field; master’s degree preferred Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, to effectively collaborate and communicate with international teams and stakeholders. Experience Experience as a Data Architect or similar role, with a focus on designing and implementing data foundations for AI and data use cases within the insurance or financial services industry Expertise in data architecture, data modeling, data governance, data quality and data integration, with a track record of implementing scalable and efficient data solutions Experience with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, Hadoop, or Teradata and with business intelligence tools and technologies such as ETL, Power BI, and Tableau Experience in leveraging cloud resources for data storage, processing, analytics and AI such as AWS, Azure, Salesforce or Google Cloud Platforms Skills Proficiency in the design and implementation of modern data architectures and concepts such as cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), real-time data distribution (Kafka, Dataflow), and modern data warehouse tools ( Databricks or Snowflake) Relate architectural decisions and recommendations to business needs and client culture Ability to work in diverse, cross-functional teams in a dynamic business environment Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex Architectural data concepts and insights to diverse stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and external partners At AXA, we actively promote Diversity and Inclusion by offering equal opportunities.
