This role sits within Preqin, a part of BlackRock. Preqin plays a key role in how we are revolutionizing private markets data and technology for clients globally, complementing our existing Aladdin technology platform to deliver investment solutions for the whole portfolio.
About the team
A core part of Preqin’s growth plan is to continue building out our market leading data platform and make it available across BlackRock. We are seeking talented analysts to deliver data-driven insights for both internal and external customers. You will be joining us at an exciting time when we are integrating our products with BlackRock and there are plentiful ways to make an impact on our business and our clients.
About the role
You’ll lead data initiatives for Preqin and BlackRock stakeholders, managing analytics and developing data pipelines to support analysis and product development. By learning which insights matter most, you’ll deliver straightforward analytics that boost business growth, market intelligence, and competitive strategy. You’ll build relationships to understand stakeholder needs and create tailored solutions, influencing decisions through effective data storytelling.
Key responsibilities:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for both business and product success, andidentify the factors influencing them.
Develop, refine, and distribute analytical deliverables to stakeholders and clients as appropriate.
Support the development of product strategy and identify new opportunities through systematic data analysis from various sources, including usage, marketing, and sales data.
Partner with internal and external customers to collaboratively design and implement effective solutions that address their needs.
Work closely with diverse stakeholders—such as designers, product managers, and researchers—to achieve shared objectives.
Present insights derived from data analysis to senior stakeholders and, where possible, facilitate self-service access to relevant data.
Design, build, and maintain sustainable data pipelines within our database environment for long-term reliability.
What we are looking for
Skilled in SQL for data warehousing (Snowflake, DBT).
Experienced in building interactive dashboards (PowerBI, Metabase) that support stakeholder self-service.
Familiar with web analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, Heap).
Some familiarity with AI to improve your own productivity and processes
Proficient in Python for data manipulation and Data Science.
Demonstrated analytical expertise in Marketing, Product, or Financial Analysis domains.
Exposure to the financial industry is preferred but not required.
Proven ability to create impact individually and collaboratively.
Excel in fast-paced, agile environments with strong workload management.
Proactive in learning, project ownership, problem-solving, and innovation.

Our hybrid work model
