The Data Architect will define the vision of the data product and its interactions with information systems. They design functional and technical architectures to align with business requirements and value definition, and support DevOps and IT delivery teams in implementation. Working under a Project Manager or Scrum Master, they contribute to the Project Solution Document and help deploy new data components within an existing squad (Event, Data Preparation, Big Data platform). The role also involves technology watch, advisory duties, and cross-team collaboration across local and central IT and production teams.

South Europe Technologies (S.ET) is one of BNP Paribas Personal Finance's shared services centers, dedicated to delivering outstanding IT solutions to BNP Paribas Personal Finance entities around the world:

* IT Risks & Cybersecurity Services.

In this context, we are looking for a Data Architect to join our team.

Mission

Under the responsibility of a Project Manager or a Scrum Master, the Data Architect contributes to the phases of the elaboration of a “Project Solution Document”:  

• Reviewing business & project chapters and writing applicative, technical and infrastructure chapters. 

• Acting from Investment Committee preparation including project defense in local & central IT project committees. 

Co-build new data component: 

• Support the setup and the deployment of a new data product within an existing entity squad (Event, Data Preparation, Big Data platform).  

• Interact with local/central IT and production teams under the responsibility of IT Tech Lead or Product Manager. 

Your main activities are to 

• Define the vision of data product and interactions with IS. 

• Technology watch and advising. 

• Design functional and technical architecture to align with business requirement and value definition.                                                                      • Support DevOps and IT delivery teams in the implementation.  

What we are looking for: 

  • You have 2 years of experience minimal as Data Architect and 5 years minimal seniority in total. 
  • Experience in the IT sector is a plus. 
  • You are a Problem-Solving and Decision-Making person, who: 
  • Demonstrates advanced analytical and diagnostic skills dealing with issues that are ambiguous, lack known precedent or appear contradictory. 
  • Sees the big picture and is fully aware of technology and business directions. 
  • Has department, corporate and group objectives in focus while identifying and removing barriers. 

Skills: 

Technology used: BigData implementation in BNPP dedicated Cloud environment: 

• Object Storage, parquet/Iceberg, RDB, Data Virtualization. 

• Spark Compute (Scala, Python). 

• Airflow orchestration. 

• Event (Kafka), streaming. 

• Kubernetes.
