Role Overview:

As the Lead of Engineering Strategy & Analytics at BNY, you will lead strategic planning, reporting, and advanced analytics to drive performance across our global engineering organization. You’ll partner closely with executive leadership, engineering platforms, engineering disciplines, Finance, People team, and broader business teams to set objectives, optimize delivery, and enable data-driven decision-making. The location for this role in NYC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Objectives Setting: Manage and articulate the multi-year engineering strategy and annual objectives in alignment with corporate goals.
  • Executive Reporting & Communication: Manage end-to-end executive reporting for QPR (Practice/Hub), MBR strategy, Strategy updates to executive leaders and external parties, and ad-hoc analyses.
  • Practice Workforce Strategy: Monitor operating-model performance through defined KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analytics and Insight Delivery: Oversee regular reporting on engineering metrics to inform leadership decisions. Serve as product owner for integrated operational and strategy-execution dashboards, ensuring data integrity and transparency.
  • External Benchmarking & Competitor Analysis: Conduct ongoing benchmarking studies against peer institutions and technology leaders and identify performance improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in engineering, operations, or analytics roles, including a mix of strategic leadership and hands-on delivery.
  • Hands-on mastery of data pipelines, analytics, and visualization platforms.
  • Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in strategic planning and executive reporting is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field; MBA preferred

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $102,000 and $250,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
