We’re seeking a future team member for the role of

Vice President, Fixed Income and Equity Data Management Engineer- Full-Stack Engineer to join our BUY SIDE TRADING BUSINESS as part of CAPITAL MARKETS team. This role is open in Boston, MA and New York, NY.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to manage and drive business expansion through an engineering lens. Working closely with a cross-asset desk as we design, architect, and build a state-of-the-art platform to empower extensive reporting capabilities, research, and real-time analytics, in support of our new global, multi-asset trading organization.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Partnering with product, quants, traders, and ops; translating requirements into robust data solutions.
  • Play a key role in the design and architecture of trading and market data structures
  • Design and build a historical and real-time data management platform for a global, multi-asset trading organization.
  • Ensure data integrity through proper data quality and validation
  • Support and work alongside a cross-functional engineering team on the latest technologies
  • Drive with an AI first mind-set towards automation and code-refactoring
  • Hands-on programming of well-designed, testable, secure, and efficient code.
  • Independently work with internal and external trading and market data sets and client reference data and manage the full lifecycle of data acquisition, transformation, analysis, and reporting

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Strong understanding of either Equities or Fixed Income trading workflows
  • Solid understanding of market microstructure and OMS/EMS flows (FIX, order types, venue routing) to design practical normalization.
  • Strong understanding of database schemas and structures
  • Strong in Python and SQL coding
  • FIX protocol/messaging knowledge
  • Demonstrates proficiency in the design, development, and implementation of data, reporting and database technologies and tools.
  • Broad experience with multi-platform development tools and toolkits, especially open-source software.
  • Experience in formal Software Development Lifecycle and Agile methodologies for projects and problem resolution.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good organization skills to coordinate and lead projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to come up with innovative solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, financial engineering, statistics or related discipline OR equivalent work experience is required.
  • 5 plus years of relevant experience is required

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
