Systems and Digital Engineer, Lead

The Opportunity: 

As a digital engineering expert on our team, you’ll have the chance to lead the development and upgrades of systems across multiple defense, civilian, and space domains by leading digital engineering and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities. Your customer will trust you to not only design and develop these systems, but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions. You will help lead a varied team of technically competent engineers, each rising in their careers. On our team, you’ll be able to broaden your skill set into areas like model-based design, model-based systems engineering, digital engineering, and technical analyses. Grow your skills by merging technical engineering expertise and model-based engineering to create digital engineering solutions that drive client missions.

You Have: 

  • 7+ years of experience with systems engineering activities

  • 5+ years of experience using MBSE tools

  • 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams

  • Knowledge of core systems and digital engineering concepts regarding the use of engineering models across the lifecycle, authoritative lifecycle data, tool chains, digital threads, and digital twins

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Technology

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience supporting engineering tools, including Dassault 3DS, SBE Vision, IBM DOORS, Jama Connect, ModelCenter, TeamCenter, MATLAB, or STK, and CAD tools, such as CATIA and SolidWorks

  • Experience in a Department of Defense aerospace program acquisition office

  • Experience conceptualizing military problems, decomposing high-level missions systems modeling, and developing detailed designs in a systems model in support of product development

  • Experience developing and executing model-based testing using the systems model with linked engineering tools

  • Knowledge of linking analytical and engineering tools in a digital thread

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Master’s degree in Engineering

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • SysML OMG Certified Systems Modelling Professional (OCSMP) Certification

  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certification, including CSEP or ASEP Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
