As a CORE Data Senior Engineer, you will support the migration of legacy EPC infrastructure to a cloud-based architecture, working with Packet Core network components and virtualized environments. You will be responsible for the deployment, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of network nodes while ensuring service quality and adherence to standards. This role involves hands-on deployment of Packet Core nodes (SGSN, GGSN, MME, PGW), analysis of call flows, and collaboration with Presales, TPM, and customers to execute migration and go-live strategies. You will also maintain design changes and support knowledge transfer throughout the project lifecycle.

Your Role

As a CORE Data Senior Engineer, you will support the migration of legacy EPC infrastructure to a cloud-based architecture, working with Packet Core network components and virtualized environments. You will be responsible for the deployment, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of network nodes while ensuring service quality and adherence to standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Hands-on deployment, integration, and configuration of Packet Core network components (e.g., SGSN, GGSN, MME, PGW).

  • Analyze and document call flows across various nodes and interfaces in the packet core network.

  • Troubleshoot packet core issues to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Execute comprehensive acceptance test plans for new network elements and services.

  • Check and validate TSD and HLD documents, highlighting any gaps or risks in the solution to Presales and stakeholders.

  • Prepare CIQs, LLDs, data fill/backfill sheets, and validate project MOPs.

  • Support migration and go-live strategies in coordination with TPM and customers.

  • Maintain and update design changes during the project lifecycle.

  • Conduct bug scrubbing before node go-live.

  • Create functional and non-functional ATP Test Object Lists (TOL) in consultation with the customer.

  • Provide troubleshooting support and trace analysis for the SE team.

  • Capture lessons learned and participate in knowledge transfer (KT) sessions.

  • Work with virtualized environments, including Kubernetes, OpenStack, Linux, KVM, VMware, and VNF configuration/management (scale in/out, healing).

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications or equivalent.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in IP domain and/or Packet Core networks.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Packet Core nodes (SGSN, GGSN, MME, PGW) and mobile network standards (2G–5G, LTE, VoLTE).

  • Familiarity with Nokia Packet Core Products (CMM / CMG / NRD) and certifications preferred.

  • Solid knowledge of IP/MPLS protocols including OSPF, ISIS, BGP, LDP, RSVP, and related mobile interfaces.

  • Experience with cloud and virtualization technologies: Kubernetes, OpenStack, Linux, KVM, VMware, VNFs.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to troubleshoot complex core network issues.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work proactively in multicultural, cross-functional teams.
