Defines end-to-end GIS architecture (ArcGIS Enterprise, geodatabases, services) to ensure observability, availability, scalability, recoverability, security, and deployability in line with functional and non-functional requirements. Provides technical leadership to development teams, guiding architectural decisions and ensuring adherence to enterprise standards. Partners with PMs, business owners, and IT teams to translate complex geospatial needs into scalable GIS solutions and defines integration points with enterprise systems and cloud platforms. Leads data governance, modernization efforts, automation strategies, and GIS roadmaps to drive efficient, secure, and future-ready geospatial capabilities.

Your Role
• Architecture & Design: Define end-to-end GIS architecture (ArcGIS Enterprise, geodatabases, services) for observability, availability, scalability, recoverability, security and deployability in compliance with functional and non-functional requirements.
• Technical Leadership: Guide development teams, provide architectural guidance, and ensure adherence to best practices and enterprise standards.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with PMs, business owners, and IT teams to translate complex business needs into geospatial solutions.
• System Integration: Design integration points with enterprise systems (APIs, databases, cloud) and non-Esri platforms.
• Data Governance: Define standards for spatial data modelling, visualization, quality, lifecycle, coordinate reference system, processing, transformation and security.
• Modernization: Lead migration from legacy systems to modern ArcGIS platforms.
• Automation & Strategy: Develop automation strategies, define GIS tech roadmaps, and support budget/planning.
Your Profile
• Esri Expertise: Deep knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal, Server, Data Store), ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, REST APIs, and extensions (Workflow Manager, Data Reviewer), QGIS / MapInfo.
• Development: Proficiency in Python, JavaScript (for web apps), OOD, and scripting GIS workflows.
• Databases: Strong spatial database skills (PostgreSQL / Post-GIS, MS SQL Server).
• Cloud/Infrastructure: Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS / Azure) and enterprise IT integration.
• Analysis: Solid GIS analysis, network dataset creation and ETL skills.
