Capgemini Engineering is seeking a NAS Storage professional to design, implement, and operate NetApp ONTAP NAS storage solutions for enterprise environments. The role covers end-to-end NAS design, sizing, capacity planning, and demand management to meet service SLAs, plus data protection technologies (SnapMirror, SnapVault, SyncMirror, MetroCluster). You will lead advanced troubleshooting, incident management, and drive automation and integration of deployment/monitoring workflows.

Job Description

Primary skills

  • NetApp ONTAP (advanced/Expert) — deep operational and configuration knowledge of ONTAP 9 for design, build, upgrade, and day‑to‑day management.
  • NetApp data‑protection & HA technologies (SnapMirror, SnapVault, SyncMirror, MetroCluster) — design, operate and troubleshoot replication, backup and synchronous/HA solutions.
  • Storage architecture, design and provisioning — end‑to‑end NAS solution design, sizing, capacity allocation and demand management to meet service SLAs.
  • Advanced troubleshooting & incident leadership — root‑cause analysis, major incident situation‑lead, escalations and remediation to restore availability and performance.
  • Automation and scripting — using automation to reduce turnaround, enforce standards, and integrate deployment/monitoring workflows.

Job Description - Grade Specific

Secondary skills

  • CIFS / NFS protocol knowledge — core file‑protocol tuning, permissions and interoperability for application teams.
  • Backup technologies and integration — working knowledge of backup solutions and how they interact with NAS for retention and restore.
  • Capacity and performance reporting / monitoring (Active IQ Unified Manager familiarity) — periodic sizing, performance analysis and presenting recommendations.
  • NetApp hardware troubleshooting and vendor interactions — diagnosing hardware faults and coordinating vendor support and repairs.
  • Data migration & change management — planning and executing migrations, following ITSM change and testing practices to deliver zero‑incident cutovers.

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree and 5+ years enterprise storage experience with 3+ years NetApp ONTAP/NAS.
Advanced NetApp (SnapMirror/MetroCluster) preferred.
Desirable: NCIE or NetApp advanced implementation certs, scripting/automation (Python/Ansible) and platform certs (VMware VCP or RHCSA).
