Senior Data Modeller with deep Lloyd’s of London insurance market expertise is sought to design, implement, and optimize complex data models that support underwriting, claims, pricing, and regulatory reporting. You will design conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with Lloyd’s market standards (CDR and Blueprint Two), and collaborate with analytics, underwriting, and IT teams to integrate policy, claims, bordereaux, and exposure data for analytics and regulatory reporting. You will develop data dictionaries, metadata assets, and governance frameworks, implement data-quality checks, and ensure GDPR, Solvency II, and Lloyd’s regulatory compliance, while providing SME guidance on Lloyd’s data standards. This role is hybrid, blending work from Company offices, client sites, and remote/home working.

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Modeller with deep expertise in the Lloyd’s of London insurance market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing complex data models that support underwriting, claims, pricing, and regulatory reporting processes. This role requires a strong understanding of insurance data structures, market-specific standards, and advanced data architecture principles.

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role:

  • Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for insurance systems aligned with Lloyd’s market standards, including CDR and Blueprint Two.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, actuaries, underwriters, brokers, and IT teams to integrate policy, claims, bordereaux, and exposure data for analytics and regulatory reporting.
  • Develop data dictionaries, metadata assets, and governance frameworks to support consistent and compliant data management.
  • Implement data‑quality checks, validation rules, and ensure adherence to GDPR, Solvency II, and Lloyd’s regulatory requirements.
  • Provide subject‑matter expertise on Lloyd’s data standards and market processes while supporting stakeholder engagement across the organization

Your Skills:

  • 15+ years of data modelling experience within the Lloyd’s of London or London Market insurance sector, with deep understanding of placement, claims, and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in ER modelling, dimensional modelling, data warehousing, and SQL, with hands‑on experience using tools like ERwin or PowerDesigner.
  • In‑depth knowledge of ACORD standards, Lloyd’s Blueprint Two initiatives, and industry data frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills with the ability to translate complex business needs into robust data models.
  • Preferred expertise in cloud‑based platforms (Azure), data‑governance/MDM frameworks, and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
