Lead Data Steward for Global Market Risk Reporting to coordinate BCBS 239 compliance and risk data aggregation, ensuring accurate, timely reporting for senior management and regulators. Define functional and technical definitions for data elements and data flows, establish data delivery agreements and data quality sensors, and report on data quality issues. Collaborate with market risk functions, cluster organization, and Finance to standardize risk data definitions, aggregation, and reporting. Participate in the Data Steward Community and governance meetings to ensure coherence across the bank.
In the market risk function, our team is responsible for the comprehensive group-wide reporting of market risk and fair value valuation data to Commerzbank's senior management and regulatory authorities. This includes daily P&L and market risk reporting to the Board of Directors, as well as the calculation of regulatory capital requirements for market risk.
For our team we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Steward to ensure compliance with BCBS 239 guidelines and support effective risk data aggregation and reporting across the bank. The role requires close cooperation with the other market risk functions in multiple locations to address data quality, consistency, and governance requirements.
Your tasks
- As a Data Steward for Global Market Risk Reporting you coordinate all activities to comply to the BCBS 239 principles on risk reporting and data aggregation.
- You define the functional and technical definition and descriptions for data elements and data flows in Global Market Risk Reporting.
- You specify data delivery agreements and data quality sensors.
- You report and analyse data quality issues.
- You participate and contribute to the Data Steward Community and meetings such as Group Data Council
- You collaborate closely with the other market risk functions, the cluster organisation and Finance to ensure coherent and standardized risk data definitions, aggregation, and reporting.
Your profile
- Proven professional experience in risk control, trading, or finance-related roles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of market risk, profit and loss analysis, and valuations.
- A successfully completed degree in Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a similar field, with a strong focus on finance or banking.
- Exceptional communication skills and focus on delivering solutions.
- Ability to provide strong problem-solving skills.
- Capability to deliver reliable results under time pressure.
- Strong communication skills in English - both verbal and written, as majority of communication is in English.
- General technical skills and expertise in utilizing SharePoint technologies, MS Teams, and MS Office Suite effectively.
