  • You will be joining the Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) Technology team and will work as part of a multi-skilled agile team, dedicated to rolling out sophisticated automation and tooling to support continuous delivery. Your team will work hard to foster increased collaboration and create an engineering culture. You will make a crucial contribution to our efforts to be able to release our software more frequently, efficiently and with less risk.
  • You will have the opportunity to work on challenging problems, analyze large complex datasets and develop a deep understanding of the Transaction Monitoring functions and dataflows.

Your key responsibilities

As a delivery lead, your will be accountable for strategy, program execution and building an effective engineering focused team to deliver key MI and data analytics outcome for the AFC business.

  • Strategy and Vision: Define the multi-year data strategy, establishing best practices for data management, governance, and analysis to meet organizational goals.
  • Program Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end execution of complex analytics programs, from data acquisition and metric calculation to visualization and deployment, risk management.
  • Actionable Insights:
    • Regulatory Reporting Demand management
    • Supporting any AFC MI related actions for findings / SIIs in timely manner and full proof closure
    • Actionable recommendations for senior leadership and stakeholders to drive business growth, efficiency, or cost reduction.
  • Team Management and Mentorship: Hire, coach, and manage a team of analysts, data scientists, and program managers, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a partner to business units (e.g., AFC, Operations) to identify business questions, prioritize projects, and deliver data-informed solutions.
  • Technology and Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends in AI/ML, advanced analytics, and data infrastructure to improve the company's competitive advantage. Collaborating across teams, discovering new techniques and developing best practice.
  • Data Governance: Ensure the integrity, security, and quality of data, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations .

Your skills and experience

  • Experience: 15+ years in data analytics or business intelligence, with 3-5+ years in a senior management or leadership capacity.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of data architecture, SQL, and analytical tools ideally in BigQuery, Hadoop, other Big Data environments or RDBMS platforms
  • Visualization Tools: Proficiency in Tableau, Google Looker, (or similar tools BI tools like Power BI ) to create dashboards for executive leadership.
  • Business Acumen: Strong ability to connect complex data findings to business strategies and P&L impact.
  • Very good analytical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex, technical data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Economics; MBA or Master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Strong documentation skills including a range of business, functional, technical and data diagrams.
  • Good to have: Experience in delivering technical and/or operational solutions for Anti-Financial Crime in the Financial Services Industry.
  • Good to have: Understanding of the AML, payments industry, payments systems, data and protocols as well as SWIFT messaging.
