Deutsche Bank Technology, Data and Innovation (TDI) is looking for a senior technical analyst in Luxembourg to join our Data & Analytics team. We provide access to high-quality data, analytics and reporting services, as well as expertise to meet the data demand of our clients and to ensure compliance to data governance standards within the Private Bank.

We are looking for a person who has the drive and the ability to understand the business processes and technical side, and transform this knowledge into processes that move the data from source systems into our local data warehouse and further on into consuming applications.

Responsibilities

  • Understand data requirements from a content and technical perspective and drive data discovery, sourcing and analytics for the creation of data flows and models in Oracle (in future on GCP).
  • Research in banking platform and databases, constructing complex SQL queries across data categories such as banking & investment products, transactions, performance.
  • Prepare functional specifications including data selection criteria to developers; and perform testing of the results.
  • Design appropriate data quality controls and ensure their implementation.
  • Analyze issues reported by data consumers in the database (e.g., for erroneous data, missing data) to detect functional issues.

The successful candidate will be asked to present a recent criminal record.

Skills

  • Experience in IT data analysis, data warehouse principles, SQL as well as understanding of PL/SQL.
  • Good knowledge of Wealth Management products, services and processes.
  • Solid and proven expertise in banking platforms such as Avaloq from a functional and technical perspective.
  • Ability to write data mapping, data dictionary and data transformation documents.
  • Excellent English, written and spoken.
