About the Role:

This is an intern level position based in London, England, reporting to the Thermal Coal research lead. You will work within the global Coal, Metals & Mining research team, and will also work alongside our industry leading journalists and price reporters.

Our industry-leading proprietary benchmark coal and metals price markers, fundamentals data and mining intelligence help producers and suppliers, utilities and power generators, steelmakers, traders, financial institutions, integrated oil and gas companies, governments and end-users buy and sell mined commodities more profitably. The team is rapidly expanding in the steel raw materials and energy transition minerals spaces.

You Will:

Update and expand McCloskey's global mine database, global emissions database, and global steel plant database

Contribute to McCloskey country profiles for iron ore and thermal coal

Work with McCloskey, OPIS and Dow Jones experts on creating research reports

Depending on skills, contribute to data automation and other process improvements within the research team

Contribute to ad-hoc tasks as required

You Have:

Completed at least two years of University level study

Strong ability in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint

Ability in Python and PowerBI an advantage

Excellent written English. Other language skills an advantage
