Job Description –Data & AI Solutions Engineer – Snowflake & GenAI

Position: Data Engineer

Experience: 5–8 years

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data & AI Solutions Engineer to support solution demonstrations, build Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and Proof of Value (PoV) on Snowflake, Snowflake Cortex, and GenAI-based solutions. The role involves working closely with sales, pre-sales, and technical teams to showcase Snowflake capabilities, industry use cases, and modern data & AI architectures. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, Spark, and excellent communication skills to articulate technical solutions effectively.

Roles & Responsibilities

Preferred / Advanced Responsibilities

• Build and demonstrate GenAI-powered solutions leveraging Snowflake Cortex and related AI services.
• Apply prompt engineering techniques to optimize LLM-driven use cases such as conversational analytics, summarization, and intelligent search.
• Develop interactive applications and dashboards using Streamlit or React/Angular to showcase data and AI insights.
• Create backend services and APIs using FastAPI to integrate Snowflake with AI and application layers.
• Support streaming data use cases for near real-time analytics and AI-driven scenarios.
• Apply DevOps / MLOps practices to automate PoC environments, deployments, and model lifecycle management.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support solution demos, PoCs, and PoVs on Snowflake.
• Author technical documentation, demo guides, and PoV/PoC artifacts highlighting Snowflake features and industry-specific use cases.
• Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and analytics pipelines on Snowflake.
• Use Apache Spark for scalable data processing and integration with Snowflake.
• Collaborate with sales, pre-sales, and architecture teams to support customer engagements and technical discussions.
• Present solutions clearly to technical and business stakeholders, ensuring strong storytelling and business alignment.
• Contribute reusable assets, best practices, and mentor junior team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or AI solution development.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake (minimum one production or PoC project).
• Strong working knowledge of Apache Spark.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with GenAI, LLMs, and Prompt Engineering.
• Exposure to Snowflake Cortex.
• Knowledge of streaming architectures.
• Experience with DevOps / MLOps practices.
• Frontend experience with Streamlit, React, or Angular.
• Backend/API development using FastAPI.

Education

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field
