Lead FactSet's Funds Engineering team under DSE, delivering funds data via ETL processes and database solutions. Responsible for designing, developing, deploying scalable, maintainable applications, providing technical leadership on architecture and coding standards. Mentors the team, collaborates with stakeholders in agile environments, and drives automation to improve efficiency. Helps grow the team and ensure high-quality solutions for clients.

Your Team Impact
FactSet's Funds Engineering team under DSE is focused on delivering Funds data (e.g., fund expense ratio, daily price & info data) coming from different sources by providing database solutions and automated processes which follow an Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) procedure. FactSet has third party funds feeds where data received from vendors and load into FactSet Databases. We also manage funds data distribution services, routinely increasing efficiency year over year through automation. We are looking for a candidate who is independent, driven, mentor, experienced in grooming the team, help them to grow, has strong communication skills and technical knowledge, who will help the team contribute to the company’s goals and help to provide our clients with the data they need to make informed decisions.
What You'll Do
Experience in designing developing, and deploying applications, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and maintainable.
Should be able to lead large scale technical projects
Provide technical leadership to the development team, guiding architecture, design, and implementation decisions.
Code quality through code reviews, mentoring, and the establishment of best practices and coding standards.
Excellent organization and time management skills (Time Management)
Should collaborate with stakeholders and healthy technical discussions engineering team.
Should adopt to new technologies and removing technical roadblocks
Work in agile team environments collaborating with internal teams
Supplements technical decision-making skills with broader business knowledge
What We’re Looking For
8-14 years of overall industry experience.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or any related courses.
Has strong Software development fundamentals - Foundation for evaluating good design and development practices
Analytical problem solving Decompose complex problems and operational events
Patience and ability to teach/mentor others
Experience developing and deploying production software
To effectively mentor others in the process for developing and ensuring high quality solutions
Strong organizational and context switching ability
Effectively handle multiple projects, with different agendas and projects moving forward simultaneously
Team building and ability to motivate others, Encourage a positive, constructive, and collaborative work environment and retain top talent
Strong written and oral communication Interact with peer, team member, and remote stakeholders/managers effectively
Proficiency in Python
Experience with Database Relational database ( MYSQL, POSTGRES, MSSQL or similar RDBMS)
Experience on Cloud Technology Amazon AWS, etc.
Flexible with time zones / shifts
Experience with GitHub-based development processes
Desired Skills
- Good to have AI exposure.
