Analyst on the AM Public Finance Data Tech team within Asset & Wealth Management, based in Bengaluru. Build and maintain applications to calculate financial metrics and monitor assets, revenues and expenses to support financial and management reporting. Work across the full SDLC in an Agile environment, designing and implementing web/RESTful services and data pipelines using technologies such as Java/Scala, SQL, Spark, Snowflake and AWS. Collaborate closely with controllers and business stakeholders and translate business rules into robust technical solutions.

Engineers in the AM Public Finance Data Tech help ensure AWM division meets all of its financial control and reporting obligations. Working in small and nimble project teams, they build critical and complex applications to calculate Financial Metrics and monitor the division’s Assets, Revenues and Expenses and support various financial and management reporting needs across multiple business teams.

Using a combination of computer science, finance and math skills, they build and support complex and critical software products that meet the ever-changing business needs and regulatory environment. They collaborate very closely with the management reporting and controllers’ business teams to transform business rules into working applications.

Responsibilities And Qualifications

In an Agile environment manage end-to-end systems development cycle from requirements analysis to coding, testing, UAT, implementation and maintenance
Develop high level/detailed technical designs, testing strategies, and implementation plans
Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that provides exposure to all areas of Finance
Understand and respond to business needs, facilitating and developing process workflow, data requirements, and specifications required to support implementation

Skills And Experience We Are Looking For

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
Experience in software development, including a clear understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design and core programming concepts
Strong Full-stack technical design and development skills and experience.
Technologies: Web/RESTful service development: HTML 5, JavaScript/AngularJS/React, JSON
Technologies: Linux and shell scripting, Java, Scala, Qlikview
Technologies: AWS, Snowflake, memSQL, DB2, HDFS, Distributed Computing, Spark
Strong programming experience in at least one compiled language (e.g. Java)
In-depth knowledge of relational and columnar SQL databases, including database design
Comfortable with multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a team
Excellent communication skills including experience speaking to technical & business audiences and working globally
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Interest in finance
