Responsible for catering to all the data needs of the business, including sourcing data, building structured data lakes, designing data marts, generating business insights, and hosting data on public cloud. Own end-to-end data analysis and build knowledge on credit risk, collections, and fraud, including data lineage, transformation rules and data quality rules. Monitor and report progress, issues, dependencies, and risks to program management; guide BAU changes and ensure successful delivery of the Decisioning technology. Lead the DDS implementation end-to-end, decompose complex business requirements, mentor the team, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver operational data solutions.
Job Title: Assistant Director, Decision Systems
Purpose of the role:
- The role holder should cater towards all the data needs of business. It covers sourcing of data and building structured data lakes, designing data marts generating business insights and hosting data on public cloud. Key responsibilities also include but not limited to creation of a robust data foundation and continuous update of these datasets, support analysis, build data quality rules & help key stakeholders implement changes in a BAU mode. They will work closely with business stakeholders, IT & FCS Team to ensure successful delivery of Decisioning technology into the regional market and introduction into operational service.
In this role, you will:
- Analyze and document requirements with data lineage, transformation rules and data quality rules for credit risk, collection / recoveries, and fraud use cases.
- The role holder has end to end own the responsibility for all aspects of data analysis and build knowledge on credit risk and collections and fraud business areas.
- Actively contribute with the monitoring and reporting of progress, issues, dependencies, raise risks to the Program/ Project management, internal stakeholders and/or steering committees.
- Assist business stakeholders with the decomposition of complex business requirements with respect to the Decision Data Store (DDS) project.
- Manage DDS implementation end to end; Engage in tactical business communication with project updates.
- Mentor the team and review core project delivery items.
To be successful you will:
- Min. 7-10 years of relevant experience. Graduate / Post Graduate degree from reputed university with specialization in numerical discipline.
- Strong experience on SAS & SQL is a must-have. Knowledge and understanding of financial - services/Retail banking-operations across the credit cycle: acquisitions, portfolio management, collections is a must-have.
- Strong background working with large-scale data, data management, data quality rules, data transformation etc. is a must-have.
- Strong analytical skills with business analysis aptitude; Outstanding attention to detail. Exposure cloud computing is desirable. Exposure to JIRA/Confluence for project management activity. Experience in BigQuery is desirable.
- Experience in translating business requirement documents to detailed data and implementation requirements.
- Written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop and effectively communicate complex concepts and ideas is a must-have. Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and develop end to end solutions.
- Collaborate with partners across business groups, evaluate emerging techniques that may contribute to existing analytical capabilities and computational models.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams. Strong interpersonal skills and drive for success. Maintain the level of communication/interaction across the team and direct manager including onshore business partners
