HSBC is seeking a Manager for Data Management Support to provide pro-active data management, production support and stakeholder relationship-building within Asset Management. The role involves developing analytical information and data products using Google Cloud and Big Data technologies (BigQuery), ensuring seamless data ingestion, data quality and support across platforms. The manager will work closely with stakeholders, production teams and participate in SIT/UAT to support investment management datasets such as transactions, holdings and instrument data. Strong experience in data management, SQL, visualization (Tableau/Data Studio) and an understanding of investment management is required.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of MANAGER DATA MANAGEMENT SUPPORT

In this role, you will be:
•The role demands a highly motivated, pro-active approach to data management with excellent communication skills and a keen attention to detail.
•Sees the 'bigger picture' and assesses relationships between solutions / projects and business performance
•The role demands building lasting and trusted relationships with stakeholders, production support staff and demonstrating to said stakeholders that the data management support offered by the role understands their needs from a data perspective.
•Develop Analytical Information products to support strategic decision making
•Develop data products by leveraging the Big Data technologies in Google Cloud

To be successful, you will:
•Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
•Big Data Technologies – BigQuery, Data Management –SQL, Visualization – Tableau/ Data Studio
•Understanding of investment management business, funds, managed or separately managed accounts
•Candidates should have experience of the investment management industry, significant data management experience, be highly numerate and able to come up with solutions to unanticipated problems where required (ideally drawing on industry expertise and prior experience).
•Demonstrate team ethic through Knowledge Transfer, Peer review & feedback, skills sharing and the primary purpose of the role will be to ensure that the Data Ingestion, Data Quality and Data Support provided into various platforms are seamless
•Data management knowledge should include a thorough understanding of investment management data-sets including transactions, holdings and instrument data-sets.
•The candidate will be required to work within the overall framework of the Asset Management Group Operations and engage with various stakeholders on SIT and UAT
