We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer
In this role, you will:
Design and implement scalable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines using AWS services like AWS Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions.
• Automate data ingestion from various sources (e.g., databases, APIs, S3 buckets) into data lakes or warehouses.
• Set up and manage data storage solutions such as Amazon S3, Redshift, DynamoDB, or RDS.
• Optimize storage for performance, cost, and scalability.
• Process large datasets using services like AWS Glue, EMR (Elastic MapReduce), or Lambda.
• Implement batch and real-time data processing workflows using tools like Kinesis.
• Ensure data security and compliance by implementing IAM roles, policies, encryption (e.g., KMS), and VPC configurations.
• Work closely with stakeholders and business teams, to understand data requirements
• Debug and resolve issues in data pipelines and infrastructure
Requirements
- 6 to 10 years of experience of Software Development in Data Engineering.
- Proficiency in languages like Python, Java, or Scala for data processing and pipeline development.
- Familiarity with SQL for querying and managing structured data.
- Knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, DynamoDB, RDS, EMR, Lambda, Kinesis, and Step Functions.
- Experience with AWS IAM for managing permissions and security
- Experience with ETL tools like AWS Glue or Apache Airflow.
- Familiarity with big data frameworks like Apache Spark or Hadoop.
- Understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB).
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools like Amazon Redshift or Snowflake
- Familiarity with Git for version control and tools like AWS Code Pipeline for continuous integration and deployment.
- Experience with AWS CloudWatch and other monitoring tools for troubleshooting and optimizing data pipelines.
