We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist

In this role, you will:

  • Build clear, actionable and easy-to-consume management information (MI) for IWPB CIO, IWPB Technology ExCo, and other senior stakeholders
  • Lead the creation and evolution of the IWPB CIO Scorecard, including progress reporting and timely escalation of risks/issues
  • Facilitate monthly performance reviews between IWPB CIO and Service Line CIOs, ensuring supporting material is timely, accurate, comprehensive, and consistent
  • Partner with CIOs and senior stakeholders to provide forward-looking analysis and insights for performance reviews, board papers, and executive updates
  • Model impact of boundary/scope changes on metrics and give senior stakeholders early visibility into restatements to target/actual for proactive remediation
  • Proactively identify trends, anomalies and opportunities in technology performance data; translate findings into insights that influence decisions
  • Continuously enhance reporting by driving automation though dashboards, use of golden data sources, and reducing reliance on manual processes
  • Support the design, planning and implementation of strategic programmes across IWPB Technology
  • Play a key role in shaping how technology performance and value are measured across the organisation, influencing future priorities and decisions
  • Lead initiatives to simplify and improved reporting processes, introduce best practices, and adopt new tools and technologies (e.g. Qlik, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Lead by example, demonstrating core behaviours and HSBC values including teamwork, focus, drive and determination

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum 9+yrs of experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Technology, or related discipline preferred
  • Professional background in cross-functional project management, or management consulting / strategy preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to move from data to insights to recommendation.
  • Attention to detail with a consistent track record of delivering accurate, transparent and actionable executive reports
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to distil complex information into clear narratives for senior stakeholders
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Hands-on experience with data platforms, reporting tools, and MI dashboards (e.g. Qlik, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Familiarity with Agile ways of working
  • Strong knowledge of banking domain a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of financial services industry.
