Job Description:

APTD: SWA is central to enabling Intel Foundry’s and APTM’s advanced package substrate roadmap. The team collaborates closely with the internal Integration organization to demonstrate disruptive packaging architectures and transition them into certifiable products.

Process TD Engineers provide real‑time support for integrated DOEs, NPIs, BLOs, process and defect characterizations, and excursion response, ensuring 24×7 lot movement through the pilot line. This role requires close coordination with Integration, program leaders, and functional teams to qualify new materials and process flows on schedule.

IOS capability is critical for APTD: SWA to meet customer expectations in a highly competitive foundry landscape. The ideal candidate thrives in faster paced manufacturing environments where continuous learning and development and operational execution are key to the team's overall success.

  • Align daily priorities with cross‑functional teams and ensure seamless communication across shifts, especially on issues needing immediate follow‑up.
  • Provide engineering support for lot execution, DOE/route setup, and data reviews to keep programs on track.
  • Troubleshoot process issues, perform error recovery, and make timely disposition decisions using MBPS and sound engineering judgment.
  • Lead experiments, feasibility studies, and development of integrated process solutions that meet safety, quality, reliability, and output goals.
  • Collaborate with development teams, product/module engineering, and suppliers to define materials, equipment, and process requirements while supporting technology transfers and new product qualifications.
  • Leverage big‑data analytics, maintain/update specifications/BKMs, author technical documentation, and deliver clear pass‑downs for smooth shift transitions.

Behavioral traits:

  • Demonstrates strong technical curiosity and attention to detail, proactively learning complex processes, routes, and manufacturing systems.
  • Leads collaboratively with Intel values, building trust across teams and supporting seamless 24/7 operations.
  • Solves problems independently and strategically, communicating clearly and transparently with stakeholders.
  • Maintains a resilient, growth‑oriented mindset while delivering reliable, right‑first‑time execution and mentoring others across the organization.
