Job Description:

Do Something Wonderful!

Intel put Silicon in Silicon Valley. No one else is obsessed with engineering and has a brighter future. Every day, we create world changing technology that enriches the lives of every person on earth. So, if you have a big idea, let's do something wonderful together. Join us, because at Intel, we are building a better tomorrow.

Who We Are

We create world-changing technology that improves the life of every person on the planet. Intel delivers silicon by applying reach, scale, and resources to deliver bold goals. And we're not doing it alone: we work with our customers and galvanize the industry for positive impact.

Our small team of accomplished researchers and architects shaped the global PC ecosystem everyday - setting the standards, norms, and infrastructure for the entire client ecosystem. We begin with research by exploring the main questions: how people interact with technology, how it can enhance people's lives, and what are the most compelling experiences. Next, we translate those experiences into a set of technical requirements and capabilities: IPs, SoCs, Software, Packaging and Platform. Finally, we have the privilege of leading teams from across Intel to bring these technologies to market with our advanced factories, our partners, and customers from across the world selling hundreds of millions of units every year.

If you love to innovate, influence the direction of the PC industry, and help make the PC an indispensable tool for work, education, and creation - then this is the team for you. You will work alongside and learn from industry experts including Intel Fellows and Principal Engineers. The work is challenging. No two days will be the same. Architecting a solution to a real user problem and then seeing in their hands is an amazingly rewarding experience.

Who You Are

The Client Systems Architecture team is seeking a recognized platform power and performance domain expert who influences and drives technical direction across Intel and industry to lead definition and optimization for a portfolio of Intel platforms.

Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and execute test plans leveraging experience to compile deep learning models with various compile flag options applied.

  • Define, scope, and conduct power and performance design of experiments to analyze workload sensitivities based on SoC and platform metrics.

  • Deliver power and performance analysis that leverages various tracing techniques (Emon, hardware events, and IP/memory cache behavior) to decompose workloads.

  • Develop/modify tools to analyze platform power and performance, important use cases, and relevant workloads to identify power and performance bottlenecks and opportunities.

  • Research platform and die voltage conversion technologies to optimize power efficiency and implement software power optimization capabilities to meet power and performance targets for a platform.

  • As a senior technical role, it is expected that the candidate has developed and mentored other technical leaders, led significant changes to overcome emerging challenges, and role modeled Intel values.

  • Strong written and oral communications skills.

  • Strong leadership skills, self-motivated, persistent, and resilient with the ability to operate in face of ambiguity.

Qualifications:

You must possess the minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications
