ETS – Data Governance & Capabilities

Data & Analytics (D&A) is a strategic team within Technology Services, responsible for enabling a business-aligned, federated data ecosystem across Invesco. The team integrates data architecture, governance, platforms, and practices to ensure that data is accessible, high-quality, and optimized for performance. Acting as a bridge between business priorities and technical execution, D&A delivers trusted insights at scale

Role Overview

The Principal Data Steward – Content Data is responsible for defining, governing, and maintaining enterprise content data standards, taxonomy, and metadata structures. This role ensures the integrity, quality, and compliance of content data across systems, enabling efficient content management and supporting strategic business objectives. Success in this position requires strong collaboration with business stakeholders, technology teams, and governance functions to deliver scalable and sustainable content data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works with the business to define new content management requirements

  • Implements lifecycle policies across all data areas, incorporating classification, retention, archive, and destruction.

  • Works with the business =, enterprise architects, solution architects and technical teams to develop ongoing content management roadmaps

  • Summarizes and articulates complex business problems for architects

  • Worked in Agile team structure using Scrum or Kanban.

  • Develops EPICs and Stories (where needed) to document the requirements for the technology teams

  • Develops communications on the ongoing progress of the Alfresco implementation and releases

  • Works with the business to define their content taxonomy

  • Provides implementation assistance to the technology teams

  • Provides tools, template communications and sample training materials to support the rollout of content management solutions

  • Supports the definition of new content requires for Alfresco Content Taxonomy and functionality

Technical & Functional Expertise

  • Demonstrated ability in content, content management and/or document management, preferably from an asset management firm, with proven ability to drive for results

  • Knowledge of content management methodologies, business and technology issues related to management of content assets

  • Familiarity with all aspects of content lifecycle management

  • Experience directly interacting with business teams

  • Experience in creating a global content taxonomy, defining global document/ content type and associated metadata

  • Ability to lead the analysis of new global document/ content types, providing facilitation to reconcile differences between groups

  • Ability to assign value to content and build appropriate metrics

  • Passionate about providing the highest quality of content to the end-user

  • Understanding of (asset management) technology platforms
