Senior Data Domain Architect responsible for designing and building data products and platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, AWS) to transform raw data into actionable insights for the PXT Finance organization. Partner with product, technology, and data teams to define data models, pipelines, lineage, and discoverability while ensuring architectural standards and quality control. Hands-on individual contributor role that implements scalable data architectures, troubleshooting issues and guiding engineering teams through delivery. We're seeking a Domain Data Architect who can create a data platform that enables the transformation of raw data into actionable insights, leveraging cutting-edge technologies like Databricks, AWS, and leading BI tools. In this role, you'll architect and design data solutions that empower our organization with faster, more informed decision-making. 

 As a Data Domain Architect for the Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) Finance Team, you will contribute to the transformation and modernization of our data environment to serve the analytical and reporting needs of the 25 thousand headcount CCB Product, Experience, Technology (PXT) Finance Organization.

You will partner across Product, Technology, and Data Architect to design and deliver Data Products into our Databricks warehouse. These Data Products cover several data verticals and serve the PXT Finance teams’ analytical and reporting needs.  This role requires a deep understanding of data architecture, data integration, and data warehousing, as well as strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and ensure alignment with the organization’s objectives.
Must be comfortable being an individual contributor having hands-on experience building data pipeline and data models. 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Uses strong analytical and hands-on skills to deliver high quality data products and guide the tech team through the implementation of the underlying data pipelines.
  • Evaluates databases and data models for inconsistencies and variances, ensuring data is represented correctly, helps in defining databases and the physical, logical and conceptual levels involved.
  • Troubleshoots technical issues.
  • Leverages a structured approach to Architecture using existing methodologies that make use of existing reference architecture and established architectural styles and design patterns.  
  • Collaborates with the Product Management, Partner teams and Team Lead to jointly drive project/technical governance of the design, build, and deployment using enterprise architecture processes and ensuring quality control through peer review.  
  • Work closely with your business domain Product teams and business stakeholders to: 1) design and develop insightful reporting and analytics solutions that drive informed decision-making; 2) apply design led thinking to meet their needs, including making data discoverable and accessible for analytical needs. 
  • Utilize various Cloud solutions and BI tools to create a robust and efficient reporting environment for PXT Finance data analytics and reporting. 

     

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills 

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in data architecture, data warehousing, and data integration in large organizations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or other Cloud Data Warehouse
    technologies.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing scalable and efficient data architectures, including star schema, snowflake schema, and other data modeling techniques. 
  • Strong knowledge and experience with data management, data lineage, data dictionaries, and making data discoverable.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex data projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • SQL and Data Modeling.

     

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills 

  • Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Relevant AWS Certifications.
  • Experience on modern leading data catalog systems.
  • Business Intelligence experience in tools like ThoughtSpot, Sigma, Tableau, or Power BI.
