Join the Palmos Data Quality Utility team as a Data Management Associate responsible for the end-to-end data journey, from sourcing new data feeds to ingestion and ongoing quality assurance. You will design and implement data quality rules to ensure data accuracy and reliability, and continuously seek solutions to streamline processes across the data pipeline. You will evaluate current use cases, perform gap analysis, and partner with client engagement teams to maximize value from analytics and insights. The role requires hands-on coding of data quality rules in the Palmos data quality engine and strong collaboration with data providers and stakeholders.

The Workforce Activity Data Utility (‘WADU’) is part of the EX HR Employee Experience organization. WADU is at the forefront of data driven decision making and is focused on building out a new firm-wide capability that unlocks the potential of our Workforce Activity data to enhance our strategic and investment decisions. It is used firm-wide for numerous different use cases and the Palmos Data Quality team is fundamental to the success of Employee Platforms. The team’s role is to ensure the accuracy of data. 

 

As a Data management associate within Workforce Activity Data Utility team, you will be responsible for the end to end data journey, from sourcing of new data feeds, ingestion of those feeds, building data quality rules for data quality assurance and constantly coming up with creative solutions to streamline and improve at every step.

The Palmos Data Quality Utility team is looking for an energetic and driven Data Analyst to join an exciting new opportunity. We need people that can think outside the box, are diligent and curious; and want to get it right.

 

Job responsibilities

  • Understand that good data is foundational

  • Daily execution of BAU to ensure our data quality is good.

  • Evaluate current user cases, conduct gap analysis and identify opportunities for building data quality rules covering critical data elements.

  • Partners with our client engagement teams to ensure our end users are getting the maximum value out of our analytics and insights.

  • Build strong relationship with stakeholders and own the responsibility to build and run data quality engine 

  • Should be comfortable to code and build data quality rules in DQ tool implemented on Palmos

  • Ensure effective communication to data providers and consumers in case of data issues

  •  

    Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Self-starter with ability to manage own workload and deliverables.

  • 6+ years in a Data related role, or in a Change/Transformation role or as a technology Business Analyst working with a technology team.

  • A passion for data, data skills, BIG Data and data tools.

  • Expertise in working with data to query, be curious with data and have a sensible regard around data accuracy. Data interrogation and Quality checking.

  • Experience around data tools like SQL, Python,  Alteryx, Excel, Tableau, Qlikview, RDS.

  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and ability to structure and scope complex problems; team-oriented nature with clear ownership mentality.

  • Strong problem-solving aptitude, very strong analytical skills and idea generation, with the ability to go from conceptualization to execution.

     

  • Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Strong inter-personal skills with ability to forge strong relationships with key stakeholders including technology partners.

  • Excellent oral and written executive-level communication and presentation skills.

  • Effective organizational and project management skills.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently across multiple aspects of the organization at all levels; confidence in communicating with management.
