As a Vice President, Banking Payment Data Owner Lead within the Banking Payments team, you will drive the strategy, quality, and protection of data supporting product development, analytics, and business operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure data is well-understood, fit for purpose, and delivers value to the business and our customers.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop and execute plans for product data delivery to support strategic objectives, analytics, and reporting
  • Partner with stakeholders to drive understanding and effective use of data within the business
  • Serve as subject matter expert on product data, ensuring critical data is documented, classified, and controlled
  • Support analytics initiatives by identifying and integrating required data into analytics platforms
  • Document and coordinate delivery of data quality requirements, resolving data issues promptly
  • Develop and implement processes to identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks throughout the data lifecycle
  • Manage compliance with firmwide policies and standards related to data integrity and protection
  • Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree and eight years of industry experience in a data-related field
  • Experience managing delivery across multiple workstreams with varying timelines
  • Subject matter expertise in business or product data or processes
  • Technical knowledge of data management, governance, and database technologies such as SQL
  • Proven ability to consult on data best practices, including modeling, governance, and ETL
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to senior audiences and translate business requirements to technical teams
  • Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and tools like JIRA and Confluence
  • Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience with big data platforms, data engineering, or data architecture
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS and data warehouses like Snowflake or Teradata
  • Knowledge of payments products or retail banking
  • Drive data strategy and governance for Banking Payment products to enable innovation and ensure data quality and protection.
