You will document current state processes, capture data lineage, and translate data requirements into actionable plans while applying data governance and quality controls. Job Responsibilities
- Assist in documenting current state processes and capturing data lineage.
- Translate data requirements into actionable plans and help identify inconsistencies.
- Apply data governance and data quality controls under guidance.
- Support project delivery within cross-functional and matrix reporting structures.
- Contribute to data warehouse process models, including sourcing, loading, transformation, and extraction.
- Utilize industry-standard data warehousing tools for ingestion, streaming, storage, and visualization.
- Help integrate data warehousing solutions within cloud platforms such as AWS Glue and AWS Lambda.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on innovative analytics projects.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
- Prioritize tasks and support multiple projects simultaneously.
- Foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline, or equivalent education and/or professional experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in business systems analysis or in designing and developing business applications.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and Python (or another programming language) in a professional setting.
- Understanding of banking operations, ideally with exposure to payment processing.
- Knowledge of database design and relational database concepts; experience with large-scale data warehouses is advantageous.
- Ability to document current state processes and capture data lineage.
- Familiarity with data governance and data quality management principles.
- Delivery skills, including supporting projects within a matrix organization.
- Practical knowledge of data warehouse process models, such as data sourcing, loading, transformation, and extraction, with experience using industry-standard data warehousing tools.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing technologies (e.g., AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Data Mesh).
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience supporting strategic front-to-back programs.
- Understanding of core metadata and data quality principles, data transfer, and profiling technologies.
- Exposure to lean and agile software development lifecycle behaviors.
- Broad financial services experience and an understanding of current banking industry challenges.
