As Vice President Governance & Assurance within the Billing Transformation team, you will shape how our next‑generation billing platform delivers for clients with rigor, transparency, and confidence. You will assess the legacy environment, translate and modernize risk mitigations for the new platform, identify and close gaps through systemic automation and pragmatic manual validations, and align deliverables to program milestones.
Job responsibilities
- Partner with operations, technology, product, implementations, pricing, finance/FAS, controllers, and architecture to align scope, ownership, and delivery for governance and assurance workstreams.
- Assess the current legacy billing risk mitigations and reconcile them to target-state mechanisms in the new platform; document traceability and coverage.
- Perform structured gap analyses; design closure plans using automated/systemic guardrails and targeted manual validations where appropriate.
- Define acceptance criteria, quality thresholds, and evidence requirements; embed into design, development, and testing lifecycles.
- Write clear Jira epics and user stories with precise requirements, acceptance criteria, and non‑functional needs; prioritize the backlog with Product and Technology so risk items land on the roadmap.
- Develop and oversee end‑to‑end test strategy (SIT/UAT/parallel runs) for governance and assurance scope, including reconciliation, defect triage, and sign‑offs prior to client migrations.
- Establish migration readiness gates for governance and assurance, track status against the program schedule, and proactively escalate risks and dependencies.
- Stand up monitoring and reporting for coverage, effectiveness, and defect leakage; drive continuous improvement.
- Set individual objectives and deliverables, manage execution, and ensure cross‑functional stakeholders are engaged and accountable.
- Maintain auditable documentation: requirements, mappings, control/gap inventory, test evidence, and go‑live approvals; coordinate handover to BAU owners.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Finance, or related field.
