Join the Asset & Wealth Management Reference Data Operations team to optimize global reference data processes and improve data quality across instruments, pricing, issuers, indices and market data. Optimize global reference data processes and drive operational excellence by enhancing data quality, mitigating risks, and delivering innovative solutions in Asset and Wealth Management by collaborating across teams, strengthen data integrity, streamline workflows, and support strategic growth through continuous process improvement in reference data operations.

 Job Summary 


As an Associate within the Asset and Wealth Management Reference Data Operations team, you conduct in-depth reviews of reference data activities across instruments, pricing, issuer, index, and market data. You evaluate end-to-end data flows, identify operational and business risks, and promote mitigation actions to enhance data quality and efficiency. In this role, you collaborate with global stakeholders to deliver process improvements and support a culture of continuous innovation.

Job Responsibilities 

  • Perform detailed reviews of reference data activities including instrument setup, issuer maintenance, pricing validations, and market & index data
  • Assess control points, exception handling, and data lineage to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Map data dependencies and consumption across AWM downstream platforms and partner with Technology and Product teams to trace data lineage
  • Proactively identify risks, conduct root cause analysis, and design preventive control measures
  • Recommend process optimization and automation opportunities to improve data quality and reduce manual intervention
  • Engage with global stakeholders to present findings, recommendations, and improvement plans through dashboards and executive summaries
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of process data flows, risk assessments, and mitigation actions, and prepare regular reports for management review
  • Required qualifications, skills and capabilities 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Data Analytics, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in Reference Data Operations, Data Quality, or Risk & Controls functions within Investment Banking or Asset & Wealth Management
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments and related data attributes
  • Proficiency in data lineage tracing, control design assessment, and root cause analysis
  •  

    Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities 

  • Experience with analytical and automation tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, SQL, or Python
  • Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder, and project management skills
  • Ability to lead process optimization and control initiatives in a dynamic environment
  • Strong collaboration, influencing, and adaptability skills
