As a Senior Lead Data Architect within JPMorgan Chase's Global Finance Technology team, you will develop high-quality data architecture solutions for a range of software applications and platform products. You will help shape the global target state architecture, govern data architecture practices, and guide evaluation of current and new technologies. The role requires technical leadership, secure production code development, and driving data architecture decisions that impact product design and operations. You will serve as a subject matter expert, promote firmwide data frameworks and best practices, and foster a diverse, inclusive engineering culture.

As a Senior Lead Data Architect at JPMorganChase within the Global Finance Technology team, you will play a crucial role in developing high quality data architecture solutions for a range of software applications and platform products.  Your expertise in multiple data architecture domains will promote significant business impact and contribute to shaping the global target state architecture. 


Job responsibilities

  • Represents the data architecture team at technical governance bodies. Provides feedback and propose improvements to data architecture governance practices
  • Guides evaluation of current technology and leads evaluation of new technology using existing data architecture standards and frameworks.
  • Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Drives data architecture decisions that impact product design, application functionality and technical operations and processes
  • Serves as function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
  • Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide data frameworks, tools, and practices in the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
  • Advises junior architects technologists
     

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on Data Architecture concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced in one or more programming language(s), applications, and architecture
  • Advanced knowledge of architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical discipline (e.g., Cloud, AI/ML, mobile, etc.)
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
  • Practical cloud native experience
  • Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture.
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
