KPMG is currently seeking an Associate, Data Engineer to join our Digital Nexus technology organization. This is a hybrid work opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of tasks related to the governance, management and maintenance of data, including but not limited to standards development, metadata management and reporting
- Document data interfaces and data mappings; analyze and interpret data
- Develop business and technical requirement documents
- Support the Data Strategy & Operations leadership team in the overall operations of the data organization
- Identify and implement cross-functional process improvement opportunities that support the organization
- Assist project managers in creating effective and achievable project plans, management of the team's execution of project tasks and secure acceptance and approval of deliverables from the project stakeholders
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of recent experience working with data including data sourcing, data analysis and data integration
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; High School diploma or GED required
- Experience in statistical analysis, working in an IT environment supporting projects and strong experience using Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook) preferred.
- Strong verbal/written communication, problem solving, organizational and independent judgment skills to support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork
- Ability to build productive relationships with peers and maintain confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information
- Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need; client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay
