The Director - Content Engineering will function as a Solution Architect who turns vision into scalable distributed systems. You will design and deliver architecture for high-availability, low-latency data platforms, create Architecture Design Documents (ADDs) and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), and guide development teams to ensure performance and reliability. The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and requires effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership. You will contribute to strategic technology initiatives and help shape architecture direction across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Delivery: Architect distributed systems optimised for scalability, resilience, and performance.
  • Documentation Excellence: Produce clear Architecture Design Documents and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) with well-reasoned analysis and proposals.
  • Technical Leadership: Advise developers on technology choices and validate implementation against approved designs.
  • Integration Expertise: Work on solutions involving third-party data ingestion, analytics, and advanced data platforms.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Transformation Support: Contribute to strategic technology initiatives and optimise delivery performance across teams.

Essential Skills

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure or equivalent cloud platforms.
  • Fabric,CosmosDB NoSQL/Postgress, Open Lake, Spark or equivalent .
  • Proven track record in designing and delivering distributed systems.
  • Ability to write ADRs and maintain design integrity throughout delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.

Preferred Experience

  • Building systems for high availability and low latency.
  • Ingesting third-party data and analytics solutions.
  • Familiarity with data mesh, data fabric, and lakehouse technologies.
  • Experience in highly regulated environments (e.g., banking).

Compensation Information:

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated annual gross base salary for this position is between zł315,600 - zł526,200. Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Bonus Plan (”bonus plan”). Target Bonus % will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job-related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience.
